Celebrating Creativity & Collaboration

Welcome to the Fiber Artist Collective of Athens, where every thread tells a story, and every artist’s voice is heard. Whether you’re an experienced fiber artist or just beginning to explore this creative world, this is a community for you.

At FACA, we believe in the power of fiber art to inspire, connect, and transform. Our community is built on the foundation of inclusivity, where every artist, regardless of skill level, background, or artistic style, is valued and celebrated. If you knit, crochet, weave, felt, spin, dye, quilt, or work with any other fiber medium, you’ll find a home here.

What We Offer

  • Knowledge and Resource Sharing: The heart of our community is collaborative learning and growth. From tips and techniques to where to find a particular type of yarn or fabric, we will share knowledge and resources to support each other’s artistic journeys. We’ll also offer swap meets where members can trade or gift supplies or tools they no longer need.

  • Collaborative Opportunities: Collaborate on projects, participate in group exhibitions, or participate in community initiatives - we believe in the power of collective creativity.

  • Education and Workshops: Stay tuned for our exciting workshops and classes designed to expand your skills and deepen your appreciation for fiber art. Whether it’s a beginner’s crash course or a masterclass in advanced techniques, there’s something for everyone.

  • Events and Gatherings: Connect with fellow artists through our craft circles, meet-ups, and special events. Let’s foster friendships and networks that go beyond the digital realm.
